Welcome to the SHELL BOX COTTAGE

This near beach home is on the convenient east end of the island (making it possible to not have a car & we can arrange to have you picked up from the airport). If you've been to Sanibel/Captiva before you know here we have not just one of Americas' top ten beaches, but we are also a sanctuary island, with a federal wildlife refuge and miles and miles of bike paths and not a traffic light on the island. Being on the east end you could walk or bike to several nearby restaurants.

This home may be rented for any 28 day (or longer) period - if your vacation time is less than that you may still find our rental price less expensive than a traditional condo for a week! and with no one above you, below you -or right outside your door. Drive your family and your groceries and right up to the front door - no elevators or long walks through corridors.

Our grounds are relaxing, quiet and beautiful. Picnic table, BBQ tennis court and a stunningly clean heated pool steps outside the back door and the Gulf of Mexico down the street from the front door.

The SHELL BOX is really offered as a 1 BR and is THE PERFECT place for a couple. However, it will sleep five others (two twin beds in the loft overlooking the great room and can be made into a king). Plus you may comfortably sleep 3 other people, each on a really thick plush futon/bed (2 in the living room and 1 in the lanai*. We have all the fresh linens you need for all the beds.

Lanai has heat/ac and can be closd off with sliding glass doors for an additional private bedroom!. The steps to the loft are very steep and only for fit people - may not be appropriate for children and elderly or disabled.
