If you found your way here, we perhaps met on VRBO. We often redirect people here so they can call us if they wish or ask for more clarification. We rent the Shellbox atypically. We have no particular check in or check out times and try to work with everyone. No need for Saturday to Saturday. We have a wide circle of friends and family in Florida and elsewhere who borrow the cottage and we are happy to move them for you so that's why we like to discuss dates. Plus we use the cottage often ourselves. For example we have not rented it at all in 2020-21 thus far due to the pandemic.
As the cottage can only be rented 1 time every 28 nights we try to be selective as to which guests will enjoy it the most, have the least amount of wear and tear and are the right fit.
The cottage is an old Florida cottage building. There are not many left and we purposely seek to maintain that feeling. Everything inside is practically original and all wood - the walls, doors, cabinets, staircases. The less wear and tear the better!
The rates will not vary much from what you saw on VRBO. There is no reason to discount for a month stay because technically that is what the rate should be but we can often save you about the cost of a 1 night stay through VRBO from $100-500 on the service fee. We must all collect and pay tax to the state and the county so that is not negotiable and we pay our cleaning service exactly what we are charging you so we cannot discount that either.
